Preparing those selected for the job

Our selection and training programme is designed to concentrate on the particular requirements of the assignment. We place great emphasis on ensuring that none of our security personnel are deployed onto a site without adequate competencies.

Initial classroom training

Drawing on our global expertise and local understanding, we have tailored training courses to meet the specific needs of varied security operations in Uganda.

Following the initial offer of employment and subject to in depth screening, all candidates undergo a 14 day basic training course at our training centres.

Each module of the course is run by experienced full-time training officers.

Modules covered in the basic training programme include:

i) Endurance and Obedience Training

ii) Classroom Training

iii) Specific on-site training

iv) Specialised Sector Training

G4S has other specialized services and all personnel assigned to these services receive specialization training.
