Bead of Life

G4S believes in supporting local communities

This is one example of a type of project supported by G4S Uganda.

A longstanding civil war in Northern Uganda has created numerous widows and orphans.

Bead of Life caters for over 100 widows who take care of their own children and other orphans.

The project produces jewelry, handbags and other fashion accessories that are made from waste paper. The finished products are sold internationally.

The project’s partners got together to purchase a piece of land for the widows to settle on. G4S is involved in procuring materials and physically constructing low-cost houses for them.
